THE PROJECT
I've included original logo designs I've created for mock brands and actual clients on this page. My process for logo design creation begins with in-depth research behind the brand, project, or client and from there, I sketch out ideas until I find something the client resonates with.
BRAINOS LOGO REFRESH
During my time at Brain Corp, I designed several logos for both internal and external use. One of the major logo projects I did was redesigning and updating the BrainOS logo, their main product. I wanted this design to be minimal and to reflect the brand since the old design was not aligned or consistent with their overall branding. I removed the redundant "POWERED" and outdated orange gradient to match their current company logo, while still maintaining the distinction between Brain Corp and BrainOS.
A few of the sketches I narrowed down the design to.

GATHER LOGO
This client-based design project was for Gather, a partnership between the Museum of Contemporary Art, Art Produce Gallery, Bread and Salt Gallery, and San Diego State University Art Galleries. Gather is dedicated to collaborating on exhibits and projects on cross-curatorial platforms, spreading awareness on community issues, and giving an inclusive and diverse platform for local creatives and emerging artists in San Diego. I, along with other designers, tackled the project of creating a type-based logotype for them. For my own final logo design, I concentrated on their mission of community-building and connectivity.

SKETCHES
I decided to use Museo Moderno as the foundation for my design due to its smooth, curved lines and playful minimalism. Using an existing font also allows room for the brand to seamlessly integrate it into other branding material. I modified the font through Illustrator by connecting the letters to each other, reflecting Gather's emphasis on connectivity, community, and collaboration. My motto also mirrors this sentiment. As for my color option, I went with a unique purple color because it's separate from each of the members' own identity (San Diego State University, San Diego Museum of Art, etc.), but feels refreshing and has a presence. For a more simplified version of the logo, the letter "G" can also stand alone, as demonstrated on my postcard design.

5 POINTS STUDIO
5 Points is a creative studio in Los Angeles with a large space to shoot photography, record music, another dedicated room to screenprint, and more. I wanted to keep the circular aspect of their older logos consistent and emphasized the "5" and the "P" within the circle for their studio name with an arrow that circles back to the word "studio." What results is a modern, clean look that represents the business since the older designs leave room for confusion on what the business may be.
